IPL: Fit Suryakumar Yadav returns to Mumbai Indians

Suryakumar Yadav, an Indian batsman, returned to his team Mumbai Indians on Thursday after recovering from a finger injury ahead of the match against Rajasthan Royals. Suryakumar has completed his quarantine and has rejoined the Mumbai Indians, the five-time champions announced on Thursday.

After sustaining a finger injury during the home series against the West Indies last month, he was undergoing rehab at the National Cricket Academy. On March 27, he was unavailable for Mumbai Indians’ IPL opener against Delhi Capitals.

‘Suryakumar Yadav has been released from his mandatory quarantine,’ according to a statement released by the franchise. Along with his teammates Kieron Pollard, Ishan Kishan, and Jasprit Bumrah, he took part in the session. His presence has energised the team.

On March 27, Delhi defeated Mumbai by four wickets. The team was unable to defend the 178-run score. Axar Patel and Lalit Yadav put on an unbroken 75-run partnership for the seventh wicket as Delhi won the match in 18.2 overs.
