Pant sent his father an emotional message on Sunday (April 3). ‘My father loved me for who I was,’ he wrote. He encouraged me to be the person I wanted to be. I felt safe because of his strength. Dad, I know you’re in heaven now, and I’m sure you’ll be watching over me from there. Please accept my heartfelt gratitude for being my father. ‘I will always love you,’ she says.
Pant had said before the start of IPL 2022 that his coach, Tarak Sinha, was like his father who played an important role in shaping his career. He told our colleague Times of India, ‘I wanted to go back and meet him. I miss my father a lot. I was playing cricket when my father passed away. Tarak sir was like my second father.
