Rishabh Pant remembers his father: Pant writes an emotional post

Rishabh Pant, a young wicketkeeper from Mumbai, has written an emotional Instagram post for his late father. In 2017, Pant’s father passed away. Tarak Sinha, his childhood coach, died of lung cancer in November 2021. Both of them were instrumental in Rishabh Pant’s professional development. In a recent interview, Pant also mentioned this.
Meanwhile, it will be five years since Pant’s father died on April 5. Pant’s father died from a heart attack. Pant had gone to Roorkee to perform his father’s last rites before returning to play the first match of the Delhi Capitals’ IPL 2022 team. In this match against Bangalore, he scored a half-century in just 33 balls.

Pant sent his father an emotional message on Sunday (April 3). ‘My father loved me for who I was,’ he wrote. He encouraged me to be the person I wanted to be. I felt safe because of his strength. Dad, I know you’re in heaven now, and I’m sure you’ll be watching over me from there. Please accept my heartfelt gratitude for being my father. ‘I will always love you,’ she says.

Pant had said before the start of IPL 2022 that his coach, Tarak Sinha, was like his father who played an important role in shaping his career. He told our colleague Times of India, ‘I wanted to go back and meet him. I miss my father a lot. I was playing cricket when my father passed away. Tarak sir was like my second father. When he passed away I got busy playing again. Whatever I am today is because of him.
